THE THIÈS E-SPORT LEAGUE, THE FUTURE LEADING ENGINE OF ELECTRONIC SPORTS IN SENEGAL.

Thiès, November 9, 2024 – The eSports (Electronic Sports) community of Thiès has taken a decisive step with the election of a new office and a steering committee for the Dakar E-Sport League, during a general assembly held at the PRESTIGE THIÉS hall.

Held under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, this assembly brought together representatives of member organizations. It was placed under the high presidency of Mr. Moussa Grégoire Faye, Regional Sports Inspector of Thiès , who supervised the work. The discussions were led by Mr. El Hadji Mansour, President of the National Committee for the Promotion of E-Sport .

A NEW OFFICE FOR A NEW DYNAMICS OF ELECTRONIC SPORTS:

Following the consensus votes, Mr. Alioune SÉYE alias PREDATOR of the club (Thiès E-Sport Arena) was unanimously elected

President of the Thiès E-Sport League. He will be supported by an office composed of:

• 1st Vice-President: Mr. Adboul Aziz Kassè (The Titans of the Arcade)

• 2nd Vice-President: Mr. Aly Nguer (Prestige E-Sport)

• 3rd Vice-President: Mr. Ibrahima Diop (Asc Walidaan)

• Secretary General: Mr. Cheikh FAll (Thialy E-Sport)

• Deputy Secretary General: Mr. Abdoulaye Bicaise DIOP (TH- Band)

• General Treasurer: Mr. Mamadou Lamine Kane (African Gamers)

• Deputy General Treasurer: Mr. Ousmane FAM (Dong'Kaassigui)

AN EXPANDED STEERING COMMITTEE FOR BETTER REPRESENTATION OF THE THIÈS REGION:

In order to ensure a broader and more inclusive representation of the sports community in the Thiès region, the steering committee was increased to 17 members with an ambitious vision for the future of E-Sport in Thiès.

The new management team has set itself the following objectives:

• Develop the practice of E-Sport in Thiès by organizing competitions and events.

• Structure the e-sports community by creating a framework for collaboration.

• Promote E-Sports among institutions and the general public, particularly among women.

Elected president, Alioune Sèye, alias PREDATOR, the youngest to hold this position within the league, has made a commitment to carry out his duties with dynamism and transparency. He wishes to favor an inclusive approach, aimed at uniting all communities of players.
