"eSport represents a catalyst for a sports transformation , social, cultural, educational, economic and inclusive, creating new hopes, but above all new opportunities for the new connected generation. eSport is the professional or amateur competitive practice of multi-screen video games, individually or in teams'' , according to the note.

In addition, it is indicated that there are five major priority areas that have been listed in the Dakar Vision Digitale program. These are the development of industry and the creative economy; training young people through their passion by making them discover the opportunities and professions of the future that can lead to the field of Open Innovation, Multimedia, Big Data, artificial intelligence, digital; the implementation of state-of-the-art and quality infrastructures, gaming/eSports, equivalent to international standards; make Dakar the African capital of eSport, gaming with a national and international calendar of competitions that can respectively accommodate national clubs, other nations and continents via their national and continental teams; the promotion through this program, the destination and the showcase of Senegal as an innovative country, of Teranga and of mass tourism.

“To do this, the Dakar Vision Digitale program will offer the Arena to all eSports and video game enthusiasts a unique place in Dakar where they can gather and share their passion. Thus, the Arena will act, at the same time, as a training center for eSport teams from the 19 municipalities of the city of Dakar and as the first pro-gaming training structure. It will also serve as an event venue for the entire video game ecosystem in Senegal and Africa”, reads the press release received at “EnQuête”.
