1st AFRICAIN *LAN NETWORK DEDICATED TO E-SPORT, THE COMPETITIVE PRACTICE OF VIDEO GAMES. THE PROFESSIONALISATION OF E-SPORTS 2 IS BECOMING A REALITY IN SENEGAL.
The National Committee for the Promotion of E-Sport in Senegal «CONAPES» and Senegal Numérique SA «SENUM SA» have proceeded, this Wednesday, April 19, 2023, the signing of a Partnership Agreement allowing Senegalese gamers to have the network of Espaces Sénégal Services available in 45 departments for the promotion and development of E-Sport throughout the national territory.
These 45 SPACES currently equipped with fiber optic connectivity and very high-speed internet among others, dedicated to the vast program of Competition & Training around the professions related to E- SPORT.
To the delight of players in particular the pro gamers of the 14 regions of Senegal, SENUM SA & CONAPES make available to the Senegalese E-Sport ecosystem:
- 45 E-SPORTS *LAN (fully equipped) ;
- 45 E-SPORT CLUBS (Pro Gamer) ;
- 45 E-SPORT eLIGUES « SECO », SENUM E-SPORT COMPETITION.
This partnership is part of the dynamic initiated by SENUM SA through its innovation laboratory to strengthen the technological ecosystem but also with the objectives of the project to accelerate the digital economy signed recently between the Government of Senegal and the World Bank, based on the vision of the PSE in Phase 2 of the PAP2A (Priority Action Plan adjusted and accelerated) through the “Senegal Numérique 2025” Digital Strategy (SN 2025) to :
1) Develop the practice of eSport, Immersive Sports, Phygital Sports3, Tech Sports and Cyber Sports;
2) Launch, from early May 2023, the SENUM E-SPORT COMPETITION (SECO); Start the extensive training and mentoring program around the professions related to the practice of electronic games, Immersive Sports,
