E-Sport: the FIFA franchise will change its name

It's a mini revolution in the world of video game fans. EA Sports announced in a press release that the FIFA franchise will change its name. From now on, it will be called “EA Sports FC. The publisher announced it via a press release. After nearly 30 years of creating genre-defining interactive football experiences, we will soon begin an exciting new era. This change will be effective in the summer of 2023.

FIFA 23, which comes out this summer, will therefore be the last to bear this name. “EA SPORTS FC will become the future of EA SPORTS football. Alongside our more than 300 sports licensing partners, we stand ready to take global football experiences to new heights, on behalf of all football fans everywhere.” FIFA 23 will therefore be the last to be called so and EA assures that “the next FIFA will be the most accomplished of all time, with more features, game modes, content on the World Cup, clubs, leagues , competitions and players than any other FIFA title”, adds EA Sports, which therefore puts an end to 29 years of partnership with FIFA.
