THE DAKAR E-SPORT LEAGUE INAUGURATES A NEW ERA

Dakar, October 9, 2024 – The Dakar e-sports community has taken a decisive step forward with the election of a new board and steering committee for the Dakar E-Sport League, during a general assembly held at Liberté 6 Extension, Lot 18, Résidence Serigne Fallou Mbacké.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture , this assembly brought together 21 representatives of affiliated members. Mr. Papa Idy Ndiaye, representing the Regional Sports Inspector of Dakar, Ms. Mame Sanou Sow Niang, chaired and supervised the work, which was led by Mr. El Hadji Mansour Jacques Sagna, President of the National Committee for the Promotion of E-Sport.

A NEW OFFICE FOR A NEW DYNAMIC

Following the consensus votes, Alioune Diédhiou alias Zintox (E-Sport Mobile SN) was unanimously elected President of the Dakar E-Sport League. He will be supported by an office composed of:

· 1st Vice-President: Mr. Seydou Lo

· 2nd Vice-president: Mr. Idrissa Ibrahima Junior Aoussou

· 3rd Vice-President: Mr. Mohamed Abdoulaye Diaw

· Secretary General: Mrs. Ndéye Astou Thiam

· Deputy Secretary General: Mr. Alfred Fodé Diané

· General Treasurer: Mr. Seyni Malang Fati

· Deputy General Treasurer: Mrs. Seynabou laye SARR

AN EXPANDED STEERING COMMITTEE FOR BETTER REPRESENTATION

To ensure broader representation of the e-sports community, a 17-member steering committee has also been formed.

An ambitious vision for the future of E-Sport in Dakar

The new management team has set itself the following objectives:

· Develop the practice of E-Sport in Dakar by organizing competitions and events.

· Structure the e-sports community by creating a framework for collaboration.

· Promote E-Sport among institutions and the general public.

The President-elect, Alioune Diédhiou, has committed to carrying out these missions with dynamism and transparency, while favoring an inclusive approach to all gaming communities.
